Last night, one of our Schools Program Partner Schools, City Neighbors Hamilton, recently hosted an incredible Family Arts Night showcasing the artistic accomplishments of students across all grade levels. The evening began in the auditorium with an array of dance and musical performances highlighting a variety of dance styles, including some dance battles and expertly choreographed rock-n-roll stylings!

Student enthusiasm and ownership were clear throughout all performances, as well as the depth of practice and understanding that went into making such high quality performances happen.

After kicking off the event in the auditorium, families were invited to move throughout different student-led arts experiences around the building to share their arts learning with the community. These stations included tunnel book making, dance workshops, and PE activities as well as choral workshops and a drop-in community art activity connected to Arts Every Day’s 10×10 Exhibit!

Just walking through the school, it was clear how hard educators at City Neighbors Hamilton are working to create meaningful arts and arts integrated experiences for students. The halls full of incredible and colorful artwork clearly show how students at City Neighbors Hamilton are learning through the arts!

Thank you, City Neighbors Hamilton staff, students, and families for sharing so much artistic light with our community!
