This week, we are thrilled to be highlighting a provider new to our directory, Soles of Imagination! Through workshops featuring shoe branding, design and creation, students not only have the opportunity to produce their own unique pair of shoes, but also reflect on their own goals for the future.
Soles of Imagination’s founder, Michael Hyman, describes how workshops start with students envisioning a dream they’d like to have come true and imagining what the world would look like if that dream came true. With this dream in mind, students then set out to design and create their shoes. According to Michael, the shoes students create then become “…a reminder of the spirit you want to walk in, a reminder of the dream you’re working towards.”
Currently Soles of Imagination works with a variety of rec centers and after school programs in Montgomery County and is excited to bring their Young Entrepreneurs Shoe Design and Branding Workshop to schools in Baltimore City. Workshops include all required materials and can be scheduled flexibly to accommodate school and student needs.
