Dear Baltimore City Arts Educators,
As another school year comes to a close, I encourage you to take a few minutes to complete the annual Arts Education in Maryland Schools (AEMS) arts educator survey.
This survey is one of the most important opportunities for arts educators to share their experiences directly with state and local leaders. In past years, survey results have informed advocacy efforts and helped elevate educator perspectives in conversations with policymakers, district leaders, and the Maryland State Board of Education.
It is especially important that Baltimore City voices are represented. Our district serves a diverse community of students and educators, and your insights help ensure that the opportunities, challenges, and successes of arts education in Baltimore City are reflected in statewide discussions and decisions.
In partnership with AEMS, Arts Every Day will review Baltimore City’s survey results, compare them with other Maryland school districts, identify trends, highlight areas of need, and inform our local advocacy efforts.
The stronger Baltimore City’s participation, the stronger our collective voice for equitable access to high-quality arts education for all students.
Thank you for all that you do for Baltimore’s young people and for taking the time to share your perspective.
Sincerely,
Julia DiBussolo, Executive Director
