On May 19, Arts Every Day welcomed arts and cultural partners from across Baltimore for our Spring Arts and Cultural Partners Convening, which was an afternoon centered on collaboration, resource-sharing, and strengthening partnerships that support arts learning for Baltimore City students.

Every time this community gathers, we are reminded of the incredible knowledge, creativity, and care that exists across Baltimore’s arts and education ecosystem. We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us and contributed to thoughtful conversations throughout the event.

The convening featured breakout sessions focused on partnership-building, equitable access to arts education, and strengthening connections between schools, teaching artists, and cultural organizations. Participants shared ideas, challenges, and strategies for continuing this work into the next school year. Following the convening, attendees received access to a collection of resources to help continue the conversations and collaborations sparked during the event.

Shared resources included:

Arts Every Day also shared several important updates and upcoming opportunities for partners to keep on their radar as planning begins for the next school year.

This summer, Arts Every Day will launch updates to the Arts Directory, including optional “Black-owned” and “Baltimore-based” business badges to help schools and communities more easily identify and support local organizations and artists.

Partners were also reminded about the upcoming annual Arts and Cultural Partners Survey, which will be open from June 22 through July 22. The survey helps Arts Every Day gather data about the arts programs being offered to and accessed by Baltimore City Schools, allowing the organization to better support equitable access to meaningful arts experiences across the district. Findings from the survey will be shared during the Fall Partner Convening next school year. You can check out previous years’ data here: SY24/25 and SY24/23.

Additional upcoming opportunities include:

  • The Baltimore City Public Schools Office of Partners in Education is hosting their June Partner Quarterly gathering gathering on June 17th, 3-5pm at Little Havana (1325 Key Hwy, Baltimore, MD 21230), RSVP Here
  • A planned partner fair in collaboration with the Office of Fine Arts during fine arts teachers’ in-service week in August
  • The reopening of Arts Every Day’s Arts Experience Grant in August for the 2026–2027 school year

We also encouraged organizations providing school-day arts or arts-integrated programming to connect about joining the Arts Directory this summer.

As we move toward a new school year, we remain inspired by the collective commitment of Baltimore’s arts and cultural partners. Together, we continue working toward a future where every student has access to creative, meaningful, and equitable arts experiences.

Thank you again to all who attended and for the work you do every day to support arts education across Baltimore.
