Arts Every Day hosted several online sessions over the last two weeks that brought together teaching artists and arts organizations together to discuss and share ideas and resources with one another around digital engagement for students.

A session about the logistics and feasibility of getting arts materials to students brought over 20 museums, arts organizations, and teaching artists together as we worked through how to meet the needs of students and teachers while keeping health and safety measures in mind.  Everyone was very grateful for the opportunity to connect and talk about pooling resources that could benefit students.  Spirits were high with so many bright minds “in the room”!

We want to thank our wonderful presenters who stepped forward to share contribute how they were engaging students, what online platforms were working (and not working!) for them, and the importance of taking a moment to pause, reassess needs, and adapt.  We all recognized shared obstacles and learned how to “use what you have” when trying to think of new ways to activate art collections and programming.
