We are delighted to share highlights from another recent school visit, this time from Maria Broom’s visit to Bay-Brook Elementary Middle School! Maria Broom, also known as ‘Miss Maria, the Story Dancer or the Story Mother’ is a multi-talented actress, dancer, and storyteller with more than 40 years of teaching experience. During her visit to Bay-Brook, Maria shared songs and stories with students in grades preK-2. Students had the opportunity to sing, dance, and move along with the stories and songs, filling the space with joyful sound and energy.
Maria’s warm and thoughtful presentation delighted and engaged students. In addition to the stories and songs program shared at Bay-Brook, Maria also offers programs around her book “The Village Bully,” which introduces ‘circles of love’… showing children and teachers how to affirm and heal the child who hurts and bullies others.
