Last week, we held the opening reception of our 7th Annual 10X10 Exhibit. This year’s theme focused on “Unity” and the essence of that theme echoed throughout the gallery from all the excited students running around searching for their artworks to every family member and teacher beaming with pride beside their artists.
Our Youth Curatorial Team shared with visitors about their experience installing the show and writing the curatorial statement after reflecting on the main theme and sub themes that emerged from the submitted works. The team laid out each piece with intention and discussed how every piece tied back to the theme.
If you missed the opening reception, we hope you can still make it out to view the exhibit which is on view until March 10th at Baltimore Unity Hall. 320 works of art bring “Unity” to life through the talent and creativity that could only come from Baltimore City Schools.
You can also view the works online at 10X10Exhibit.org.
Gallery Hours are Monday – Friday from 9-5pm. If you would like to visit the exhibit outside of these hours, please contact Betty Gonzales at betty@artseveryday.org or by calling us at 410-685-1172 to schedule access to the gallery.
