During this season of thanks, I am grateful for the opportunity to share some very big and exciting changes here at Arts Every Day.

First, we are excited to soft launch our updated website. Same address – new look, and much more user friendly. City Schools educators will find a more comprehensive and searchable list of programming and events in the Arts Directory. Partners will be able to quickly update changes to their profiles and program listings. Additionally, we’ve done some reorganizing so that it is easier to get to know the organization, and keep up with all the great arts integration, arts education, and advocacy work happening through Arts Every Day and throughout the city. Check it out at www.artseverday.org.

We also have a new staff member. Sarah Coleman, our Partnerships Coordinator joined Arts Every Day in late summer. She works to build relationships with arts and cultural organizations and teaching artists. Additionally, she supports our professional development programming.

Third, we have a new home! Arts Every Day is excited to move into The Motor House at 120 North Avenue. The name “Motor House” pays homage to the 100-year-old building, which was the first Ford dealership in Maryland. Baltimore The Motor HouseArts Realty Corporation acquired the building in 2013 and has been planning a careful restoration that preserves important architectural elements of the building’s interior and exterior.

Not only is Arts Every Day getting a bit more office space, we are thrilled to have a place within a cultural hub shared with great neighbors including Station North Arts and Entertainment District, Neighborhood Design Center, Maryland Citizens for the Arts, Future Makers, and our longtime suite mates, the Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance. Plus, with a large conference room and access to exhibition and performance space, we look forward to hosting future events in our new home.

All of this would not be possible without the inspiring work and dedication of our staff, board, supporters, principals, teachers, schools, and students. From our family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving.
