Join us for our first synchronous teacher PD Thursday, November 9th 5-6:30pm Virtual “What does an A look like?” Understanding Assessment in the Arts Presented by Dr. Rachel Hoke, Associate Director of Technology & Pedagogy, University of Pennsylvania In this interactive session, we will explore the process of designing and implementing practical assessments for learning in the arts. From determining which artistic products and behaviors can, and should, be assessed, to creating rubrics to save time and stress while grading, we’ll compare examples and options to fit the needs of a variety of arts content areas and class formats. In particular, we will focus on rubrics as tools for communication and improved student performance. By the end of this session, you will be ready to apply your knowledge to an assessment in your own classroom!
