On Tuesday, May 13th at 6 pm, the District Court in Baltimore City unveiled the artwork of 23 Courting Art Baltimore’s student finalists and winners, whose artwork has been professionally reproduced for long-term display at its Eastside Courthouse. Arts Every Day partnered with Baltimore City Public Schools, Maryland Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, and Gordon Feinblatt, LLC. for the 9th Annual Courting Art Baltimore Contest, which awarded $20,500 in CollegeBound scholarships to the 7 top artworks chosen by a panel of jurors. One student also received a spot in the MICA Young Peoples Studio art program and two students were awarded placements in MICA’s Pre-College Program.

Courting Art Baltimore is a unique opportunity for Baltimore City high school students to showcase their creative ingenuity, earn scholarships, and connect the legal community with local Baltimore communities reducing stress and anxiety for litigants and visitors by beautifying local courthouses.

CONGRATULATIONS to all the finalists and winners!
