Arts on Stage! Arts on Stage is a presenter of live professional and educational performances for students at two theatres easily accessible to BCPS schools, Goucher College and Chesapeake Arts Center.

Arts on Stage’s live theatrical performances support curricular and co-curricular activities while immersing

audience members in a variety of theatrical genres. The mission of Arts On Stage, Ltd. is to artistically, culturally and educationally enrich the minds of children through live, professional theatre productions. Through its productions, Arts on Stage hopes to cultivate curiosity and promote interest in live theatre of all types, and in children of all ages.

Arts on Stage prides itself in being the most affordable and easiest theatre field trip to plan. Performances encompass a diverse selection of performances that will capture your students attention and instill a love of the performing arts. Teachers will also be excited that their ticket is FREE!

The Winter and Spring season is full of engaging performances for a variety of ages, including: “A Midsummer Night,” “Anansi the Spider, Butterfly: The Story of a Life Cycle,” “Cirque Zuma Zuma: African-style Cirque du Soleil,” “Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad,” “I Have a Dream,” “The Cat in the Hat,” “The Rainbow Fish,” and more!

Many performances will sell out, so interested schools are encouraged to book soon. Arts on Stage offers a school-wide Title 1 discount, as well as ADA accessible theatres. Performances are 60 minutes in length, except Shakespeare shows which are 70 minutes in length.
