Next up in our Arts + Culture Partners Spotlight series, we’re featuring Soles of Imagination! Soles of Imagination is an organization that teaches the youth of our community how to design their own sneakers. We believe that by giving them the tools to be creative, they can unlock their potential and become more proactive in their futures.

Is there a particular program you’d like us to highlight? What makes it special?

In the Young Entrepreneur Workshop, students are guided through the full creative process of sneaker design — from brainstorming a name and finding inspiration, to sketching and customizing their own pair. The workshop doesn’t stop at design; students also develop a pitch to “sell” their sneakers to the class, encouraging confidence, communication, and entrepreneurial thinking. It’s a hands-on experience that blends art, creativity, and business in a fun and engaging way.

Why should teachers and students be excited about your program?

Our workshops provide hands-on experience in shoe design and production, giving the students the skills and confidence to pursue their dreams. The students will leave the workshop with their own one of a kind sneaker that they designed.

Anything else teachers should know about you?

Teachers will just need to collect the shoe sizes of the students for the workshops.
