Arts Advocacy Toolkit Series for Educators
Join us for a School-year long Series- Arts Advocacy Toolkit Series for Educators as we partner with local arts organizations to help educators build their arts advocacy toolbox. Each session will cover a different aspect tied to bringing awareness to the arts, working with your school administration around the arts, understanding the budgeting process, and more!

Join us for the first session in our virtual arts advocacy series! Just in time to start planning for winter events, “Turning Your Winter Visual and Performing Arts Showcases Into Advocacy Opportunities,” will be presented in partnership with Rachel McGrain, Executive Director of Arts Education in Maryland Schools, on October 27th from 4-4:45pm. In this session, we will explore AEMS’ “Showtime Advocacy for Arts Educators” toolkit and participants will have time to collaboratively envision and troubleshoot how this toolkit can best be applied by educators in Baltimore City Public Schools.
We are excited to announce the second session in our virtual arts advocacy series, “Cut Paper Not Budgets.” As schools throughout Baltimore City get ready for budget season, join us for this virtual session led by Julia DiBussolo, AED’s Executive Director, to learn more about the district’s budget process and how you can get involved to advocate for arts funding within your school community!
