Next up in our Arts + Culture Partners Spotlight series, we’re featuring The Creative Impact Group! Dedicated to empowering educators and youth professionals, The Creative Impact Group champions the transformative power of creativity through culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and community-centered practices.
The Creative Impact Group is a training organization for educators and youth professionals that focuses on creative power through culturally responsive, trauma informed, a community centered practices. Creativity is how we wrestle, thrive, search, grow, learn and make sense of the world. It’s how we find our purpose, and our joy. Without creativity, the most important skill in the world, according to a recent Linkedin study, schools and programs serving youth will be unable to fulfill their missions and things like innovation and entrepreneurship will become a thing of the past. The Creative Impact Group was formed to address the gap in quality professional development and support, focused on creativity as a tool for increased learning, connection and agency.
Why should teachers and students be excited about your program?
At the heart of The Creative Impact Group’s programming is the belief that learning should be engaging, empowering, and deeply human. For teachers, this means professional development that goes beyond theory. CIG sessions are interactive, practical, and filled with strategies they can use immediately. Educators leave not only with tools, but with a renewed sense of purpose—reminded of why they teach and inspired to make a greater impact.
For students, our programming opens doors to self-expression, leadership, and discovery. Through hands-on activities grounded in creativity and culturally responsive practice, young people feel seen, valued, and encouraged to use their voices. They leave with skills in communication, collaboration, and resilience that extend far beyond the classroom.
What makes CIG stand out is our commitment to trauma-informed and equity-centered practices. Every session creates safe, supportive spaces where participants can show up authentically, learn with courage, and embrace the power of community. Coupled with the energy and joy infused into every experience, CIG transforms ordinary moments into extraordinary opportunities for growth.
Simply put: The Creative Impact Group doesn’t just deliver programs—we spark movements of creativity, connection, and change. That’s why teachers and students are excited to be part of the journey.
Is there a particular program you’d like to highlight? What makes it special?
Our PD sessions are rooted in culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and community-driven, creative, hands-on approaches. Whether it’s a single session or a year-long series, we design interactive, practical trainings that are immediately applicable. If you want purposeful, engaging learning, we’ve got you covered.
At The Creative Impact Group, professional development isn’t just about checking a box or sitting through another lecture—it’s about transformation. Our sessions are intentionally designed to be interactive and engaging, inviting educators to step into hands-on activities, meaningful discussions, and creative exercises that spark both inspiration and growth.
We believe that creativity is more than an art form; it is a tool for problem-solving, collaboration, and innovation. That’s why our trainings are rooted in the creative process, helping educators rediscover their own creativity and learn how to bring that same energy into their classrooms.
Our PD is also deeply grounded in equity. Through culturally responsive and trauma-informed practices, we equip teachers with strategies to honor diverse identities, create safe spaces, and respond with empathy to the challenges their students face. The result is classrooms where every student feels valued and empowered.
What makes our approach especially impactful is its practicality. Every session provides strategies and tools that can be implemented immediately—teachers walk away with ideas they can use the very next day. Beyond the skills, our PD helps educators reconnect with their “why,” leaving them re-energized, affirmed, and motivated to create meaningful change.
Finally, our sessions build community. By fostering connections among educators, we create networks of support and shared vision that extend well beyond the training itself.
Our professional development is special because it blends creativity, justice, and joy with practical strategies that empower teachers to transform classrooms and entire school communities.
