This week, Arts Every Day celebrated executive director, Julia Di Bussolo for being named a 2015 Leading Woman by The Daily Record. Held on December 7, 2015 at The Westin in Annapolis, the award dinner featured 50 Maryland women under the age of 40 recognized for their career accomplishments, community involvement, and commitment to inspiring change. In attendance along with Julia’s family were Arts Every Day Board members Carolyn Freeland, Sylvia Brown, Liz Nuss, and Jodi Dunn.
Julia joined Arts Every Day in 2012. The organization has thrived under her leadership improving access to arts and arts education for thousands of Baltimore City Public School students during the school day. She has led efforts in an ambitious strategic planning process to grow the organizational capacity to impact all of Baltimore’s Pre-K through 12 students over the next five years.
Julia serves as a leading voice of advocacy for the arts in Baltimore City in her role as the Co-Secretary of the Baltimore Arts Education Coalition, an emerging group of individuals and organizations working towards equitable access to arts in Baltimore City Public Schools. “Julia is amazing and this honor is well deserved.” said Anne Perkins, Board Chair of Arts Every Day. “ She is energetic, smart and recognizes the critical role the arts can play in the lives of Baltimore students. We are so lucky to have Julia working with us!”
Congratulations, Julia!
